Max and Lucy

Max and Lucy came from Cottontails rescue to us in April 2006. They are truly part of our family and a much loved pair of very funny bunnies! Max is very friendly and loves to give you a good lick of approval, Lucy has always been a little more timid but she's coming around. She's now a real mischevious girl and we love her for it :-)

Their two storey hutch came from Cottontails as they were used to it and it suited our needs as a base for the buns to live in. The plan was to build them a secure outside play area where they can come and go as they please, to give them some secure freedom while we are at work and school. They reach the outside play area via their tunnel from the down stairs floor of the hutch, the tunnel is a good source of fun for them and somewhere they can completely escape from anything if they wish.

When we are home they both come out into the open air play pen which is now, almost a 1/4 of the garden! they tend to come and go as they please into the open air pen, weekends they tend to chill in the secure run until later in the day when they come out to play and chase around the pen. There's quite a few toys and obstacles to have fun with in the big pen like the green tunnels, Twig Henge (picture 1198) as we call it! walking the plank (IMG 0235), a good few noisy toys to throw about and kick!

Max and Lucy were a good pair when Cottontails allowed us to adopt them, since then they have continued to enjoy a happy life we hope? they certainly look chilled and happy.
